„At the end"
Summary
Two years after the wine steward's release, Pharaoh has two troubling dreams about skinny cows eating fat cows and thin ears of grain swallowing healthy ones. None of his advisors can interpret them, but the steward remembers Joseph’s ability, and Joseph is brought from the dungeon to interpret the dreams as seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine.
Impressed by Joseph's wisdom, Pharaoh appoints him as the Viceroy of Egypt to manage the food storage. When the famine strikes the entire region, Joseph’s brothers travel from Canaan to buy grain. Joseph recognizes them, but they do not recognize him; he tests their character by accusing them of being spies.
Joseph demands that they bring their youngest brother, Benjamin, to Egypt to prove their honesty. After they return with Benjamin, Joseph plants a silver goblet in Benjamin's bag to frame him. The portion ends with the brothers in distress as Joseph claims Benjamin as a slave, testing if the brothers will protect their father's youngest son.
